Risk Warning and Disclaimer

Understand the risks before choosing a broker or trading Forex and CFDs. Our research is general information, not personal advice.

Forex and CFD trading can cause substantial losses

Leverage can magnify losses as well as gains. You may lose all the money committed to trading and, where applicable protections do not limit your liability, more. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

Loss and leverage risk

Forex and contracts for difference (CFDs) are complex products. Leverage lets you control a larger position with less money, so a small market move can cause a large loss.

Margin is the money required to open and maintain a leveraged position. Requirements can change, and positions may be closed automatically if the account has insufficient margin. Do not assume that a risk control will always execute at the price you expect.

Market, execution, and platform risk

Fast markets, price gaps, low liquidity, news, rollover, and outages can widen spreads, delay or reject orders, or prevent you from entering or exiting when intended.

Slippage means an order executes at a different price from the one expected. A requote is a new price offered instead of the requested price. A platform display, demo result, or sampled quote cannot prove the price or execution quality of a live order.

Your broker entity and client protections

A broker brand can operate through several legal entities. The company named in your account agreement determines which regulatory framework and terms apply. Leverage, products, fees, eligibility, and protections can differ by country and by retail or professional client status.

Negative balance protection limits liability for trading losses to a defined account balance where it applies. It does not prevent losses within that balance. For example, FCA rules require this protection for relevant UK retail CFD accounts; do not assume the same protection applies to every entity, product, or professional account.

Broker, withdrawal, and fraud risks

If a broker fails or cannot meet its obligations, you may be unable to recover your money. Check the account agreement and any client-money or compensation arrangements that apply to your contracting entity; protection is not the same everywhere.

Read the funding and withdrawal conditions, including fees and verification requirements, before depositing. The CFTC's US OTC Forex advisory describes fraudulent dealers demanding extra deposits or made-up taxes before releasing withdrawals. Treat such demands and promises of guaranteed returns as warning signs, and verify the firm through the relevant regulator's own records.

Limits of our research

RinTrade research helps you compare evidence within a stated scope. It cannot establish what a broker will cost or how it will perform for your own account.

  • Quoted prices are not completed trades. A quoted-spread study observes bid and ask prices in a defined setup. It does not by itself measure fills, latency, slippage, rejected orders, depth, commission, swaps, currency conversion, funding charges, taxes, or total trading cost. A low quoted spread in one test does not prove a broker will be cheapest or best for your trading pattern.
  • Tests and rankings are dated snapshots. Results apply to the stated accounts, instruments, entities, and time window. Conditions change, and small differences may reverse in another session or account. Historical observations, rankings, and past performance do not guarantee future pricing, execution, reliability, or results.
  • Information can change or contain errors. We work to keep research accurate, sourced, and dated, but cannot guarantee every detail is complete, error-free, or current when you act. Confirm material terms with the broker and relevant official sources. If you find an error, send the page URL, disputed detail, and supporting source through our Contact page.

General information, not personal advice

RinTrade publishes general educational information and broker research. Nothing on the site is personal financial, investment, legal, tax, or trading advice, a recommendation tailored to you, or an offer to trade.

We do not know your finances, objectives, experience, or risk tolerance, and do not assess whether a broker, product, account, leverage level, or strategy is suitable for you. Consider appropriately qualified independent advice where you need it.

Third-party and affiliate sites

A link to a broker or another website does not make RinTrade responsible for that site's availability, security, content, onboarding, contract, or handling of your data. Review the destination, entity, terms, risk notice, and privacy information before proceeding.

RinTrade may earn affiliate compensation from an eligible link. Compensation does not change our research methodology or data-driven rankings, reduce your trading risk, or turn general research into personal advice.

Before you open an account

You are responsible for deciding whether to trade and understanding the laws and terms that apply to you. Before depositing money:

  • Confirm the exact legal entity in your account agreement and check its status through the relevant regulator's official records.
  • Check your client classification, available products, and local eligibility; a global comparison does not establish what is available to you.
  • Understand leverage, margin close-out rules, and whether negative balance protection or any client-money protections apply to your account.
  • Read all material costs and funding and withdrawal conditions, including fees and verification requirements.
  • Protect your credentials and consider whether you can afford the loss. If you do not understand how the product works or how losses are limited, do not trade it until you do.
